Until the day Undam opens.

Records so far, and promises for the future

Until the day Undam opens.

We have cultivated the land, given it a name, met with water, and prepared the site. It has taken several years to get to this point. This "Time of Devotion" records the process in order. In the final installment, we will look back on our journey so far and discuss how we will move forward until the day we open our doors.

A Time Without Rush

Looking back, the thing we chose most often while preparing Undam was 'waiting'. We waited for the paperwork to be processed, for the excavation to break through the rock, and for the inspection results to come out. Why wouldn't we have wanted to open our doors quickly? However, we knew that things made in haste often collapse in haste.

This time of waiting was not in vain. On the contrary, thanks to it, we were able to discover problems that we might have otherwise overlooked, and our vague plans became clearer. The good water and solid foundation were ultimately the result of this unhurried time. We believe that because it has taken time to arrive, it will last long.

There are many places in the world that are built and opened quickly. Such places may be dazzling when they first open, but their luster often fades after a few years. We have chosen a different path. We wanted to prepare carefully, refine our work, and become a place that gets better after opening. We believe that even if we start a little late, it is better to be consistent in the long run.

What Not to Add

Until the day we open, what we are most cautious about is 'greed'. The temptation to fill the large land with various things and to accommodate more guests is always present. However, we have decided to think about what to reduce rather than what to add.

That's why we decided to reduce the number of teams we receive at once and to have only water, shade, and benches instead of loud playground equipment. We believe that if it's not crowded, we can rest, and if it's simple, we can be comfortable for a long time. This mindset, which chooses to manage properly over making a large profit, is what we will keep even after we open.

We Will Continue This Record

"Time of Devotion" does not end here. While what we have recorded so far is the story of how we prepared to open, from now on, we will record the story of what happens after we open.

We plan to record the process of building the pool and outdoor natural warm water area, the story of the day we welcome our first guests, and the scenery that changes with each season. We will not just write about the good things that happen. We will also record the things that progress slowly and the things that need to be redone. That's because we want this record to be an honest story, not just promotional material.

On the Day We Open

We have not yet opened our doors. We do not have a completed landscape to show you, nor do we have any guest reviews. However, we have recorded our preparation process because we want you to see that Undam is not a place that was created overnight.

If you know the heart that chose this land, the meaning behind the name, the construction process to meet the water, the devotion that prepared the site, and you visit us after understanding all of this, we think that your day at Undam will be a little more special. If you think about the journey the water has taken to get to this place when you soak your body in it, that would be all we could ask for.

These days, everything is made quickly and easily. In such an era, our story of digging into the earth and preparing the site over several years may seem a bit old-fashioned. However, we believe in this old-fashioned way. We think that good things are usually made with time, and that only the things that take time will last. We hope that this record will be evidence of that belief.

We are aiming to open our doors on a spring day next year. Until then, we will quietly but diligently refine this place. As soon as our preparations are complete, we will let you know the opening date. We look forward to the day when we can welcome you to a place that is as calm as a quiet lake, where you can stay for a long time and feel comfortable.

In Pocheon, Il-dong, Sajik-ri, we are preparing a place where you can enjoy natural warm water and the beauty of nature. We hope to see you there.
